Almirah Design
When metal hooks and micro shelves began to be placed in the door, the interior sides of the doors were simply completed. Early almirah design were entirely made of shelves, with no provision for rods or hooks for hanging garments. Similarly, the door fronts were carved or ornamented with veneer or marquetry, but there was no mirror or painted, etched, or engraved glassware. In the Renaissance period, almirahs began to have a top heading of pediments. The solid or square bottom was now accompanied by round ball or pawed legs. An middle panel separated the legs.
